Course Description:
This course is designed to build a solid off-road driving foundation. Upon graduating, students will have developed an in-depth understanding and ability to drive off road, while operating in a high threat environment. This class covers the following topics:
- Off-Road Vehicle Dynamics
- Proper Steering, acceleration, and braking
- Trail Driving
- Negotiating Difficult Terrain
- Driving in Sand, Mud, and Snow
- Vehicle Recoveries
- Vehicle Extrication
- Roll Over’s
- Negotiating Steep Terrain
- Field Expedient Vehicle Repairs (BDAR)
- Pre-Rigging
